Definitions
EC type-examination:
is that part of the procedure by which a notified body checks and certifies that an appliance, representative of the production envisaged, meets the provisions of the directive that apply to it. Covers the design phase and must be followed up by a module providing for assessment in the production phase. The EC type-examination certificate is issued by a notified body.
EC declaration of conformity to type:
is that part of the procedure whereby the manufacturer declares that the appliances concerned are in conformity with the type as described in the EC type-examination certificate and satisfy the essential requirements of the directive which apply to them. Covers the production phase and follows module B. Provides for conformity with the type as described in the EC type-examination certificate issued according to module B. Intervention of a notified body regarding product checks at production stage. The relevant aspects of the checks are specified in the directive.
EC declaration of conformity to type (guarantee of production quality):
is the procedure whereby a manufacturer applying a quality system declares that the appliances concerned are in conformity with the type as described in the EC type-examination certificate and satisfy the essential requirements of the directive which apply to them. Covers the production phase and follows module B. Derives from quality assurance standard EN ISO 9001 – 2008, with the intervention of a notified body responsible for approving and controlling the quality system for production, final product inspection and testing set up by the manufacturer.
EC verification by unit:
is the procedure whereby a notified body checks and certifies that an appliance is in conformity with the requirements of the directive which apply to it. Covers the design and production phases. Each individual product is examined by a notified body, which issues a certificate of conformity.
TECHNIGAS, notified body with identification number 0461, offers you CE marking of gas and oil appliances as foreseen in :
- Regulation (EU) 2016/426 : Appliances burning gaseous fuels,
- Regulation (EU) 813/2013 : Efficiency of new hot-water boilers fired with
liquid or gaseous fuels between 4 and 400 kW.
TECHNIGAS is recognized by the Belgian Authorities and the European Commission for the following modules foreseen in the related regulation.
